NWCM (North West Canadian Materials Inc.) is a company dedicated to collecting and recycling textiles to reduce waste and support environmental sustainability.

NCC Nature Conservancy Canada is a nonprofit organization which will be benefiting from this pilot program with NWCM. It focuses on preventing unnecessary waste from reaching landfills and expanding the life of recyclable materials. NWCM supports NCC's initiatives through textile recycling

NWCM accepts a wide range of textiles, including clothing, shoes, accessories, bedding, towels, curtains, and more. We aim to divert these items from landfills and give them a new purpose.

You can recycle your textiles through NWCM by dropping your bagged textiles at our donation bins found throughout the city. Simply drop off your textiles and our team will take care of the rest.

No. However, we appreciate if you can sort your textiles into separate bags or containers based on clothing, accessories, bedding, etc., as it helps with the recycling process. However, if you're unable to sort, do not worry! We will take care of it.

Yes! NWCM accepts damaged or torn textiles for recycling as well. Even items that can't be reused as clothing can be repurposed or recycled into other useful products

Once collected, the textiles are sorted, cleaned, and processed by local recyclers. Depending on their condition, they may be resold, upcycled, or recycled into new materials for various industries.

Absolutely! NWCM provides textile recycling collection services for organizations and events. Please reach out to us admin@nwcmaterials.ca to discuss the details and make arrangements.

NWCM collaborates with local charities, other recycling organizations, and partners with various local businesses to promote sustainable practices and increase textile recycling awareness.

Textile recycling helps reduce the amount of waste that goes into landfills, conserves resources such as water and energy used in producing new textiles, and minimizes the carbon footprint associated with textile production.

While we accept a wide range of textiles, there are a few items we cannot recycle. These include heavily soiled or wet textiles and, carpets or rugs.  We encourage you to check our website or contact us for a comprehensive list of accepted items.

The funds generated through our textile recycling efforts are used to support the initiatives and programs of our partner nonprofit organization, NCC. A portion of the proceeds go directly to NCC. This includes funding community projects, and other sustainability-focused activities. As well as growing our operations to continue collecting and preventing reusable and recyclable materials from becoming unnecessary waste.

Absolutely! Contact us directly or book a pick-up online. NWCM primarily operates through pickup services and recycling donation bins. However, we understand that some situations may require special arrangements. Please contact us for large loads and/or same day pick ups of textiles  from your location(home or business) and the associated logistics.
